Available Cabinet Woods & Stain Colors

Red Oak:

All colors work well on Red Oak. Lighter colors such as Natural, Honey Glow and Sundance are enhanced by this stain. *Available in Rustic.

Cherry: Lighter finishes such as Natural, Honey Glow and Sundance will allow sapwood and natural character marks (including brown pitch flecks, small gum pockets and pin knots) to show through the finish. Select Cherry will have character marks and up to 3% sapwood. *Available in Rustic.

Hickory: Extreme variations in grain pattern and color. Color can vary from white to black. Extremely vivid mineral marks should be expected. These variations are evident in all stain colors. *Available in Rustic.

Red Birch: A Natural finish allows for the iridescent appearance of the open grain patterns. Embers, Espresso and Burnished finishes allow these open grains to absorb the darker stain tones, taking on a blotchy appearance.

Maple: Light stains work well on Maple. Darker stains such as Burnished, Embers, Espresso and Burgundy can take on a blotchy appearance. Select Maple can also possess rift marks and dark brown character marks.

Quarter: sawn White Oak: The color varies from white gray brown to a slightly darker green brown. Quarter-sawn Oak is produced in a manner which emphasizes the wood’s medullary ray fleck and other unique grain patterns.

Walnut: The wood varies in color from light creamy brown to dark rich chocolate or even purplish brown. Light to medium stains tend to highlight the natural wood color while dark stains tend to complement the wood color.

Bamboo: Bamboo is available in a vertical grain, caramelized and finished Natural. Expect major variations in color from door to door.

Lyptus: The grain is comparable to that of Mahogany or Oak.

Silver Birch: The wood is light in color, uniformly absorbs most stains and has fine grains. Offered in four door styles, Sage, Express, Kismet and Prairie, and nine stains. Nutmeg Accent is also available.

Benefits of Updating Your Kitchen Cabinets

Your kitchen is a major focal point for your home and your cabinets are easily one of the most visible elements in your kitchen -- making them a key element in the decor. When it comes to updating your kitchen cabinets, there are a myriad of benefits! Some include:
  • You are able to customize the color or wood stain you want
  • A fresh new stain can drastically improve the appearance of your cabinets and kitchen
  • Updated cabinets can increase the value of your home
  • Wood stain provides a traditional and natural look

Painted Finishes & Rustic Wood Selection

Painted Finishes: Paint Grade is selected for smooth grain patterns and very carefully dried to minimize shrinkage after the cabinets are finished. Joints in doors may shrink, causing cracks in the finish. Paint Grade consists mainly of Maple or equal. It is not possible to achieve a color match on additional doors or cabinetry for any given kitchen.

Rustic Wood Selection: Rustic grade is available in Cherry, Hickory and Red Oak. This allows for knots, split knots, ingrown bark and other natural occurring grain patterns and mineral marks. Knots will vary in size and depth.
